CTSpedia Site Meeting Minutes: Davis

1. Grant payment, contracts, etc. (5min): The group convened with discussing the grant award. Mary Banach explained that the grant would be distributed via individual contracts between each site institution and UCSF. All grant related materials were received by Jon Rueter from Phillipa Savage (UC Davis Finance Contact) and any further related finance questions should be handled through the appropriate contacts.
2. Site role, principal functions. (10min): Laurel Beckett discussed the proposed role of UC Davis on CTSpedia. The main contribution discussed was cluster randomization programs-either an available online calculator or as a separate program download. While the pros and cons of both formats were discussed, it was decided that it might be easier to have the program be an attached file on CTSpedia rather than an integrated calculator, which would be more difficult; however, both approaches are likely to appear as we address the different levels of complexity of our subjects.
3. Deliverables and timeline. (15min): Largely UC Davis would provide statistical programs for CTSpedia, links and other support with survey's and focus groups. The timeline was not yet discussed, however David Bui will set up another meeting with UC Davis' programmers to discuss the possible timeline soon.
4. Focus group participants. (10min): Laurel Beckett mentioned several populations at Davis that may be suitable for the focus group sessions planned for later this year. It was suggested that a portion come from the faculty level at UC Davis' BERD consortia as well as programs and classes (such as the K30 class) at UC Davis .
5. Consultant survey questions (10min): The survey that Mary Banach created was distributed to the group for feedback. The main function of the survey would be to find out from the BERD consortium what they would like to see on CTSpedia. This function in turn will help guide/steer CTSpedia development. UC Davis has agreed to help with designing this.
