Case Study Provided Rather than doing fieldwork in accordance with the terms of the six-month grant he received to work in Hawaii, Albert Atos, a graduate student, has played the tourist and enjoyed the sights of the islands. However, his failure to do the field research has not prevented him from writing a research paper on the behavior of tropical fish. He has simply copied, with slight modification, a study conducted and written five years ago by a student at the University of Singapore that was never published.
